Solo journaling games
-
Cozy journaling game loosely structured like the story from Kiki's Delivery Service. You're a witch out on their own in a new town! I LOVE how this game is structured. The kickstarter is closed but I think if you follow the pre-order link you can buy the digital version which is already out and so you may be able to play right away, like I am.

A lovely small and short journaling game where you go on a 7-day trip and encounter curious shops and interesting objects with their own backstories. I posted about this on my blog before but it's good to mention here because it may serve as a nice on-ramp to this genre of games if you've never done one before!

Haven't played yet! A horror solo journaling game I bought and will play after I finish Koriko. Has some intriguing elements like voice recording! I cannot wait! The premise reminds me of Dead Space mixed with Firefly or something.

Haven't played yet! Kickstarter not launched yet! But I am soooo excited for this one. I found it because I wanted to find a game that had the same creepy forest folklore vibes as Inscryption (which if you haven't played yet, omg play it immediately! Without looking up any information about it!).

Haven't played yet! By the maker of Koriko. Follows the life of a single magical item and it's history as it passes through the hands of many different adventurers.

Haven't played yet! A hack from Artefact! By the same maker. This time, you're a spaceship and the game explores the many iconic captains and crews. Obviously I am fascinated by this inanimate object backstory idea. "Things" can have heart too! 💕

Haven't played yet but I'm about to! Space scifi game that reminds me of The Expanse and the Wayfarer series so dear to my heart! One thing I love about this is the pre-made Miro board for completely remote play! (I made an even more optimized version if you want to make a copy 👀) It's easier to get friends to play if they don't have to leave their house.
