Surprisingly OK: What Healing Trauma Feels Like - Zine (digital copy also available)
Highly recommend for everyone who has experienced trauma and is trying to heal. Spotted a random post about this zine and immediately bought it on a whim. I spent a low-spoons afternoon binge reading it because it is so down-to-earth, familiar, and helpful. I have always learned a lot from seeing examples of other people's real lives and experiences, and this is chock full of that.

Uncommon Comfort Reads - Online panel with Malka Older, Martha Wells, KJ Charles, and T Kingfisher
So glad I saw Martha Wells retoot this! Very entertaining casual talk amongst awesome authors about what they think makes a "comfort" read (or as I like to call it, cozy book). Tons of stuff to add to the to-read pile after watching this. I'm actually going to try and rewatch and make a list documenting everything they mention and recommend, so keep an eye out for that.

Commenters during the panel 👆🏻 recommended this listicle of Malka Older's top 5 comfort reads!

9 Nonfiction Books About Nature That Will Make You Fall in Love With Planet Earth
Juicy listicle with more stuff to add to the to-read pile. The top book is one of my favorites that I recommend to folks when I can.

A MASSIVE list of recipe websites, organized by country, cuisine, and other things. You gotta see it to believe it. Please just click on it! Of particular interest to me are the allergen-free sections.

Introspective resource for those wanting to work on themselves! Explains a bit about what shadow work means, and then gives you tons of prompts to journal about or reflect on.

My favorite reference for emotions that includes degrees of severity. Better than the emotion wheel in my opinion. I use this when I need to identify what I'm feeling, because it's hard for me sometimes.

A journaling game I've been playing and loving. Before this, I didn't know what a journaling game was! If you don't either, I recommend you click and briefly browse. Your world might get bigger, like mine did!

If you liked the last link, you might also like exploring this. There are more games listed here than just journaling games. For example, a game where you embroider a map as you play, resulting in a scarf (keepsake) you can treasure forever!

A podcast, newsletter, book, and website by Stephanie Harrison, all about an approach to happiness that centers on finding connection with others. The insightful graphics on the main page link to newsletter issues (I think) that also correspond with podcast episodes. I have yet to fully dive in, but the browsing I have done so far made me very happy!

Chris Arnade Walks the World - Substack
Really in-depth travel blog that, in the wake of my own vacation abroad, was very interesting and made me feel like I was traveling alongside Chris. Great photography!
